✚ High yielding soft feed wheat and ‘Medium’ for distilling

Variety Positioning

• A new soft feed wheat with very high yields in AHDB trials (105% treated, 80% untreated) and Agrii trials last year (110% treated, 60% treated).  

• Outstanding northern performance (111% treated) albeit based on limited information and rated ‘Medium’ for distilling which is important in this region.  

• Average physical grain quality (77.0 kg/hl) and HFN (236s).  

• Suitable for all soil types including very light soils.

• Second wheat performance is good in trials although it is very susceptible to eyespot (3.8) and other stem base disease diseases.

• With a Graham plant-type there is evidence to suggest that it is suitable for early drilling in AHDB trials (111% before 25th September). However the main drilling window is still advised at this stage.  

• Medium tall (88 cm) and moderately stiff (7) (7) and slightly later maturity (+2).

• It has strong Septoria tritici resistance (6.7) (6.6), good mildew (6), average yellow rust (7.2) (5.8) but weak against brown rust (4.7) (4.0). Not resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
